KINSMAN, Ohio — Innovative Farmers of Ohio will sponsor tours of two farms in Trumbull County Aug. 21. from 11 a.m.. to 1 p.m.
Red Basket Farm owner, Floyd Davis, will demonstrate how his specialty sweet corn has evolved to include about 70 vegetable varieties for farmers markets, a CSA and a public school farm to school program. Also learn how an EQIP grant has allowed Floyd to invest in high tunnel hoop houses to extend his growing seasons.

Second tour
Attendees will join Aaron Miller at Miller Livestock for a pasture walk from 2-4 p.m. to learn about his sustainable meat production methods. Miller Livestock has raised grass-fed beef and lamb, pastured pork and pastured-raised chicken and turkeys without chemicals, antibiotics or hormones for more than a decade.
Miller will describe his diverse marketing methods from selling to restaurants and farmers markets to his own farm stand and CSA that allow him to farm full time.
