Ingredients For Batter:
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1-1/2 cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- 3 cups flour
- 4 tsp. baking powder
- 1 cup milk
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 tsp. salt
Ingredients For Filling:
- 4 cups fresh fruit; rhubarb, peaches, etc.
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1-3oz. pkg. strawberry jello
Ingredients For Topping::
- 1/4 cup flour
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 3 Tbsp. butter
Directions:
- Mix first eight ingredients as for cake batter; it will be very stiff.
- Smooth batter into a greased 13x9x2″ pan.
- Mix fruit, sugar and jello.
- Pour over batter mixture.
- Combine topping ingredients and sprinkle over fruit mixture.
- Bake at 375° for 35-40 minutes.
