NEWBURY, Ohio — Geauga Prime Time 4-H club is holding its first vendor fair fundraiser May 7 from noon to 4 p.m. at Grace Evangelical Church, 14951 Auburn Road.
Pampered Chef, Longaberger, Lia Sophia and many more will be represented at the fundraiser.
TORONTO, Ohio — The Barshoe Wrangler 4-H club collected items for military service men and women overseas as one of its community service projects. The Barshoe Wrangler advisers are Frank Mazure and Carl Glenn; officers for 2011 are: Aly Glenn, Courtney Darling, Morgan Millhorn, Jennifer Smith, Aaron Foldi, CJ Glenn and Samantha Glenn. The Barshoe Wrangles have 27 members actively involved in 4H.
MEDINA, Ohio — The members of the Medina Country Classic 4-H Club met April 14 at the A.I. Root candle company.
We talked about special 4-H dates on 4-H events livestock and showmanship forms. The cloverbuds made chocolate candy for the group.
The next outing will be at 7 p.m. May 12 at the Medina county home. The next meeting is at 7 p.m. May 18 at the A.I. Root candle company.
HENRIETTA, New York — The Farm Friends 4-H Club had a very successful Petting Zoo at the Country Max Days at the Dome Arena in Henrietta, New York April 15.
The 4-H club raised money for 4-H and promoted the fun of being a 4-H member. The Farm Friends kids sold four leaf clovers for a dollar each and the supporters got their names added to the clovers and posted on the wall overlooking the petting zoo.
The displayed animals included chickens, a bunny, one week old baby goats, and one young calf. Visitors had the chance to pet the animals and even hand feed a couple chickens.
