TOLEDO, Ohio — A port expert will be the featured speaker at an upcoming ag breakfast in Toledo.
Joe Cappel, vice president of business development, Toledo-Lucas County Port Authority, will speak at the monthly Northwest Ohio Ag-Business Breakfast Forum, Mar. 19, from 8-9:30 a.m., hosted by the Center for Innovative Food Technology (CIFT) at the Agricultural Incubator Foundation.
Good location
With more than 43 percent of the U.S. and Canadian markets located within 500 miles, Toledo is a prime location for national and international trade and commerce. The Port of Toledo is ranked ahead of larger markets like Buffalo, Milwaukee, St. Paul, San Diego, San Francisco, and Anchorage.
Cappel is responsible for working with existing and potential business partners in developing and expanding business opportunities in the Toledo region.
Breakfast and informal networking will start at 8 a.m., with the program to follow. The cost is $10 per person (cash or check at the door) which includes breakfast and networking opportunities.
The breakfast forum is an educational networking opportunity to provide information on current issues, trends and programs available to the agricultural community and those who support its advancement.
The Agricultural Incubator Foundation is located at 13737 Middleton Pike (St. Rt. 582) in Bowling Green.
