For someone with allergies, it’s difficult to participate in seasonal activities like trick-or-treating for Halloween.
But according to CNN, kids with allergies will be able to easily identify homes that have non-food treats, thanks to the Teal Pumpkin Project.
People participating in the Teal Pumpkin Project will place a teal pumpkin outside of their home to signal that they have safe treats for kids with food allergies. The alternate treats they offer may include stickers, crayons and allergy-free candy.
The project also reminds parents to check candy for allergens before allowing their children to eat.
