WOOSTER – Sarah G. “Sally” Stryffeler, 83, of Wooster died Sept. 15, 2014, at Wooster Community Hospital.
She was born April 3, 1931, in Medina, the daughter of George Atlee and Harriett Emily Clark Ganyard.
She married Myron W. Stryffeler on November 3, 1951. He preceded her in death on Aug. 8, 1998.
Stryffeler was a graduate of Medina High School and attended Kent State University. She was a life-long farmer with her husband raising registered Holsteins and then later registered Piedmontese beef cattle.
They were also well respected for trucking and care of quality registered cattle across all of the U.S. She was a life member of the Holstein Association, a long time board member of the Piedmontese Association of the United States.
Stryffeler is survived by her daughters, Emily Heffner of Middletown, Md., and Lou Ann LeFever of Wooster; two grandchildren; and a great-grandson. In addition, she is survived by a brother, Milton Ganyard, of Georgia and a sister, Maxine Gehrman, of North Carolina.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded by a son, Myron Dale “Butch” Stryffeler and sisters, Georgialee Wagner and Betty Ganyard.
Friends were received at the McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster, Sept. 18.
Services were held Sept. 19 at the funeral home with the Rev. Dr. Kevan Franklin officiating.
Burial was in the New Pittsburg Cemetery.
