Over the past 100 years, Farm and Dairy has been more than a newspaper to many of you — we’ve become a community, a family.
We’ve heard of married couples who’ve met through our pages, of a family who adopted a child from an article clipped from our pages, and just recently, we shared the story of vineyard owner Gene Sigel, who shifted his life’s path after reading a “help wanted” ad in our pages.
Farm and Dairy has also been a valuable link to the farm world to readers who live in the city.
So, in this, our centennial year, we’d like to hear from you what Farm and Dairy means to you, or how you’ve used our information, or how grumpy your husband gets if it arrives late.
The challenge is this: We want you to pen exactly 100 words — no more, no less — that captures your connection to Farm and Dairy. Fiction, nonfiction, prose, poetry — the choice is yours.
Send your submission, along with your name, address and phone number (complete addresses and phone numbers will not be published), by Aug. 15 to editorial@farmanddairy.com (please put “100 years in 100 words” in subject line), or mail to “100 years in 100 words,” c/o Farm and Dairy, P.O. Box 38, Salem, OH 44460.
We’ll run submissions in print and online.
