BURTON, Ohio — Auburn Swine Club members met June 13 at the Ward home.
Members approved the same buyers’ gifts, with a price of $4 each.
Members also discussed the skillathon breakfast July 17, and club members are asked to bring bakery items or doughnuts and help set up at 8 a.m.
Everyone was also reminded to bring non-perishable food items or money to meetings for the food-a-thon competition.
It was announced that $2,000 was raised for the Relay for Life.
Cassie Durkee volunteered to go to the next livestock sale committee meeting July 8. Demonstrations were done by the Ward Family.
Members discussed the Fun Fest, and Cassie Durkee, Sara Ward, and Darcie Healy volunteered for that committee.
Members also voted to donate $150 to the Aaron Hope Scholarship Fund.
The next meeting is July 11 at the Nemec home.

CORTLAND, Ohio –The Badger Pork Raisers 4-H club is busy preparing for the Trumbull Co. Fair, which runs June 29-July 4.
The market hog show is June 30th at 5 p.m.
The club’s annual St. Jude Charity Hog will be on exhibit and sold at the junior fair livestock sale July 3. The pig was donated by the Kevin Turner family, feed by Trumbull Feed and Supply, and raised by Emily Robinson.

BARNESVILLE, Ohio — The Barnesville Progressive Home Helpers held a regular monthly meeting June 12 at 10 a.m. at the Main Street United Methodist Church in Barnsville.
Several members gave health and safety reports. Demonstrations were given by Taylor Harry, Andy Selmon, Arin Selmon, Mary Moore, Jeri Moore and Megan Riley.
Refreshments were provided by Taylor Harry. The next meeting will be held July 10 at 10 a.m. at the church.

THOMPSON, Ohio — The Thompson Ledges Dairymen met May 16.
Members brought either a canned food item or $1 to be saved for the Hare Raisers’ canned food drive to support the Geauga Hunger Task Force.
Members discussed items to put in the dairy basket themed “Holy Cow, It’s Dairy Delicious”. Designs for club T-shirts and sweatshirts were discussed as well.
A further discussion took place about making a float for the Thompson 4th of July Parade.
In new business, members voted on community service project ideas. The next activity will be building a Shanty Town. The idea is to raise awareness for those who are homeless. The club will be sleeping in boxes overnight and living like a homeless person would.
The club voted to buy club clippers and there will be a clipper demonstration on how to safely use the clippers.
Members were reminded the skillathon is July 17.
The next meeting was set for July 11 at 1 p.m.

WINTERSVILLE, Ohio — The Bareshoe Wranglers 4-H club met recently at Friendship Park. Seven members discussed projects and interviews on project books.
Members were reminded there will be a work meeting with horses every Wednesday until the fair.
The next club meeting is July 21, 7 p.m., at Friendship Park.

BURTON, Ohio — The Geauga Dairymen 4-H club met on June 16.
The sales committee voted to raffle two freezers, instead of smokers, for buyers at the sale. The committee is getting a new banner to be used every year to promote the livestock sale. It will be hung by the fair entrance.
The next sales meeting is July 8 and assessments are due.
4-H camp is July 18-24.
Members were reminded of the Trumbull Dairy Show July 2. The club was reminded of project judging/skillathon July 17 at the junior fair building at 9 a.m.
The next club meeting will be July 7.
