– Auctioneers Ned, Scott, Sheila and Jeremy Gregg of Ned F. Gregg Realty Inc., conducted the Bill E. Lee estate auction July 9 in Sycamore, Ohio, with 250 registered bidders in attendance.
The top-selling item was a cylinder desk with glass bookcase (Burl) that sold for $1,400.
Other highlights included a Mollroy and Company pillar clock with two painted scenes for $550; a blanket chest for $300; butchering kettles for $170 and $160; a Sycamore Happy Home washer for $160; a two-drawer spool cabinet for $140; a Fiesta 1955 calendar plate for $110; a hood ornament for $85; Fiesta bowls averaged $75 and a Pickwick Ale sign for $55.
According to the auctioneers, the items brought more than expected.
– Dave Kaufman Auctions of Sugarcreek, Ohio, held the George and Marjorie Garver estate auction July 11 in Lakeville, Ohio.
Highlights included a Farmall M for $3,600; a Ford red belly tractor for $3,400; a Farmall H for $1,200; a Yamaha 4-wheeler Moto 4 for $1,900; a Cub Cadet 1811 lawn tractor for $875 and a four-bottom plow for $500.
